The Addiction To Stress

Are you addicted to stress?

Many high performers are and don’t even realize it.

Living in a constant state of stress eventually catches up with us.

For some, it leads to burnout. For others, it manifests as serious illness.

Our brains operate in four primary states.

Most of us spend the majority of our time in the beta state.

This state is driven by overstimulation.

Constantly checking emails, texts, and social media. Working long hours. Chasing productivity.

These habits are addictive, delivering dopamine hits that keep our minds hyperactive.

I speak from experience.

I’ve burned out twice from pushing myself too hard.

What changed everything was learning how to spend more time in the theta state.

Prioritizing self-love and building more balance into my day consistently.

That’s the key: consistency in your stress management routine.

The truth is, most of us don’t have a solid routine.

We skip workouts. We eat poorly and at the wrong times. We rarely give ourselves time to simply be.

We’re so focused on doing that we forget how to just exist.

For me, putting self-love first was the breakthrough.

If we don’t care for ourselves, we’re no good to our clients, families, or friends.

This is the core idea I work on with my clients.

Once you learn how to calm the brain and break the addiction to overstimulation, something amazing happens.

You discover a deeper, more lasting peace and often, even better performance.

When you connect with your heart instead of living in your head, everything starts working in your favor.

The inner calm becomes the new dopamine.

When you suppress the need for rest and calm, you’re physically blocking what your body needs to release.
